Returns and Refund Policy

Customer returns, statutory remedies and the Printful fulfilment process for Media4You shop orders.

Last updated: 20 July 2026

Applies to: www.media4you.co.uk and Media4You orders and services

This Policy explains how to cancel an order, return a product, report a fault, request a refund or resolve a delivery problem. It forms part of the Media4You Terms and Conditions.

Media4You is your retailer. Printful manufactures and fulfils many shop products on our behalf, but Printful’s business-to-business policy does not replace your rights against Media4You. Nothing in this Policy limits a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

1. Contact us before returning anything

Email info@media4youiow.co.uk with your order number, name, the affected item and what has happened. For damage, defects or misprints, include clear photographs where reasonably possible. If several identical items are affected, one photograph showing them together may help.

Do not post an item to Media4You or Printful until we provide return instructions. Printful uses different return facilities depending on where an order was fulfilled, and an unauthorised return may be delayed or lost. The address we provide for a return is for product returns only and must not be used for legal notices or general correspondence.

Email: info@media4youiow.co.uk

Telephone: 07395 322561 (email is preferred)

Legal/postal correspondence: Pan Cottage, Pan Lane, Niton, Ventnor, Isle of Wight, PO38 2BU, United Kingdom

Wrong address or unclaimed parcel

Contact us immediately; address can normally be changed only before dispatch

Reshipping costs may be charged if the error or failure to claim was yours

Wrong size or colour selected

For eligible standard goods, use the 14-day return route; personalised goods are excluded from change-of-mind rights

Printful does not exchange; an eligible return and new order are handled separately

3. Cancelling before dispatch

Contact us immediately if you want to change or cancel a shop order. Printful may begin production shortly after an order is accepted, so we cannot promise that a manufacturing or address change can be stopped. If we can stop it, we will confirm the cancellation and refund the amount due.

Our inability to recover a cost from Printful does not remove a consumer cancellation right that applies by law. However, where a lawful exception applies—for example, goods made to your specification or clearly personalised—we may be unable to cancel once production has begun.

4. Consumer change-of-mind returns

If you are a UK consumer who bought eligible goods online or at a distance, you normally have 14 days after the day you or your nominated person receives them to tell us that you are cancelling. If one order arrives in separate deliveries, the period normally runs from receipt of the last item. You then have a further 14 days to return the goods.

You may cancel by emailing info@media4youiow.co.uk or using the model form in our Terms and Conditions. Give a clear statement and enough information to identify the order.

Goods excluded from change-of-mind cancellation

The statutory cooling-off right does not apply to certain goods, including:

goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised, such as an item bearing a name, image, wording or design supplied or selected uniquely for you;

sealed goods not suitable for return for health-protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed;

goods liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly; and

goods inseparably mixed with other items after delivery.

We will identify a relevant exception before purchase where reasonably practicable. A standard design advertised to everyone does not become “personalised” merely because Printful manufactures it only after an order is placed.

Condition of returned goods

You may inspect goods as you would in a shop. You are responsible for any reduction in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods. Clothing should be returned unworn other than for a reasonable fitting, unwashed and with original tags where supplied. This condition rule does not reduce rights concerning faulty goods.

Return postage

For a change-of-mind return, you normally pay the direct cost of returning the goods. Use a suitable service and retain proof of postage. If we failed to tell you before purchase that you would bear this cost, or if the item is faulty, damaged, misprinted or wrongly supplied, we will meet the return cost where the law requires.

5. Faulty, damaged, defective, misprinted or incorrect goods

Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for any purpose made known and match their description. If an item arrives damaged, defective, misprinted or different from what you ordered, contact us promptly. We may reasonably ask for photographs or other evidence and may tell you not to return the item while a reprint or refund is assessed.

Under Printful’s current fulfilment procedure, a quality issue should be reported within 30 days after delivery. Printful may offer a free reprint or refund for manufacturing defects, damage or misprints and generally does not require the item to be returned. Contacting us within that period helps us use this procedure quickly.

The Printful 30-day claim window is an operational claim period between Media4You and its fulfiller. It does not replace or shorten any statutory right you have against Media4You. Depending on when and how a fault appears, legal remedies may include the short-term right to reject, repair or replacement, and—where those remedies fail or are unavailable—a price reduction or final rejection and refund.

Normal variation that does not materially depart from the description—such as a minor difference caused by screen display, fabric texture or manufacturing tolerance—is not necessarily a defect. This does not excuse a material colour, placement, size, print or quality error.

6. Lost, delayed and delivered-status parcels

Lost in transit

If tracking has stopped or a parcel has not arrived by the estimated date, contact us. Printful requires lost-in-transit claims within 30 days after the estimated delivery date. It may ask us to confirm the address and for the recipient to check with the local delivery office before approving a reprint or refund.

For consumer orders, goods normally remain at our risk until you or your nominated person takes physical possession. We will investigate with Printful and the carrier and will provide the replacement or refund required by the contract and law.

Tracking says delivered but the parcel is missing

Please check safe places, other occupants, neighbours or reception and contact the last-mile carrier for delivery details. Tell us promptly if it still cannot be found. Printful’s policy says it does not fund a reprint where tracking shows delivery, but Media4You will consider the evidence, carrier response and our legal responsibility rather than automatically refusing your claim solely because of that status.

Delay

Delivery dates are estimates unless a date was expressly guaranteed or delivery by that date was essential and agreed. If delivery is materially late, contact us. Your cancellation or refund rights depend on the circumstances and applicable law.

7. Wrong address, failed delivery and unclaimed returns

You are responsible for entering a complete and accurate delivery address and for collecting a parcel or dealing with reasonable carrier/customs requests. Contact us immediately if an address is wrong. Printful normally permits an address change only before an order is marked as shipped.

If a parcel is returned because the address you supplied was incorrect or incomplete, it was unclaimed at customs, refused, or not collected from a pick-up point, we may charge the reasonable cost of reshipping. If Media4You, Printful or the carrier caused the error, we will not charge you for putting it right where we are responsible.

Printful currently notifies Media4You when a returned parcel reaches its facility and ordinarily allows 30 days from that notification to arrange reshipment. An unclaimed item may then be donated and become unavailable. We will try to contact you using the order details, but you should respond promptly. Any charge or remedy remains subject to your statutory rights and the reason for return.

8. Size, colour and exchanges

Please check the product description and size guide before ordering. Printful does not provide exchanges or reimburse Media4You where the customer selected the wrong size or colour or simply changed their mind.

For eligible standard, non-personalised goods, a UK consumer may still use the statutory 14-day change-of-mind return described above. We do not operate direct exchanges through Printful; once an eligible return is accepted, you can place a separate order for the preferred size or colour. Clearly personalised goods do not have a change-of-mind return merely because the selected size is unsuitable, but fault and misdescription rights remain.

9. Refund amount, method and timing

For a valid consumer change-of-mind cancellation, we will refund the price paid and the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option. We do not have to refund an upgrade to express or enhanced delivery. A lawful deduction may be made for diminished value caused by excessive handling.

We will make the refund without undue delay and normally no later than 14 days after we receive returned goods or you provide evidence of sending them back, whichever occurs first. If no goods were supplied, the period runs from when we are informed of cancellation, subject to the rules for services and digital content.

Refunds are made to the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise. We do not deduct a payment-processing fee from a statutory refund. Bank and payment-provider posting times are outside our direct control after the refund has been issued.

For faulty goods, the timing and amount will follow the applicable statutory remedy. A Printful refund paid to Media4You’s Printful Wallet does not require you to accept store credit; where you are entitled to a monetary refund from Media4You, we will refund you by the legally appropriate method.

10. Services, custom creative work and digital content

This Policy primarily addresses shop goods. For a distance service contract, a UK consumer usually has 14 days after contract formation to cancel. If you expressly ask us to start during that period and then cancel, you may need to pay a proportionate amount for work properly performed. The right ends after full performance only where the required express request and acknowledgement were obtained.

For digital content supplied immediately, the cooling-off right ends only after you expressly consent to supply beginning and acknowledge the loss of that right, with the required confirmation. Faulty or misdescribed digital content remains protected.

Custom design, website, media, drone, installation and other service cancellations outside a statutory cooling-off period are governed by the accepted quotation, service agreement and our Terms and Conditions. Deposits are not automatically forfeited; any retained amount must be lawful and reflect the agreed work, committed cost and reasonably evidenced loss.

11. Gift cards

An unused e-gift card purchased online may be cancelled during any applicable statutory cooling-off period. If value has been redeemed at your express request, any refund will take account of the amount used and the underlying order. Gift cards are not redeemable for cash except where required by law. A refund for goods bought with a gift card will normally be returned to the gift card or equivalent payment balance, unless the law requires another method.

12. Business and international customers

The statutory 14-day consumer cooling-off rules do not apply to a business purchase. Business returns are accepted only where agreed, where goods breach the contract, or where law requires. Customers outside the UK may have mandatory local rights in addition to or instead of the UK rules; those rights are not excluded.

13. Printful policy changes

The Printful fulfilment information in this Policy reflects the policy available on 20 July 2026. Printful may change its operational procedures, locations and claim process. We will apply the current lawful process to your order and update this Policy when appropriate. A later Printful change will not retrospectively remove a customer right or alter an existing Media4You contract without a lawful basis.

Printful’s current return policy can be viewed at https://www.printful.com/uk/policies/returns. Please contact Media4You—not Printful—about a Media4You shop order so we can manage the claim and remain your point of contact.

14. Complaints

If you are unhappy with the outcome, email info@media4youiow.co.uk and state that you are making a complaint. Include the order number, issue, preferred resolution and relevant evidence. We will investigate fairly and aim to provide a substantive response within 14 days, keeping you updated if the matter reasonably takes longer.
