Recognise a Free Will SCAM!
Don't get cheated out of your estate and savings! You'll see in many places online, charities and businesses advertising free wills for you and your family, and although on the face of it this seems like a wonderful and easy thing to do, don't be fooled!
9 times out of 10, charities and businesses will place a very clever legally binding rule in your will, where they will take a percentage of your savings and estate once you have passed. This may not sound like a big deal, but a standard Will can cost you £100, whereas a charity or business taking a small %5 payment of your estate, can cost over £50,000! Many people aren't aware that these clauses are included in their will, and the children, partners and family get caught out loosing hundreds of thousands of pounds, sometimes even millions!
Wills also need to match your personal circumstances, so having a free standard Will being made for you by a business, will often lead to the will being invalid at court once you die, at which point the government, banks and councils will do with your estate, whatever they see fit. Don't fall for the trap of a 'free' Will, and don't fall for the trap of a 'quick' Will either, as they don't exist.
Over 55% of Wills submitted each year in the UK, are invalid, and over 10,000 Wills submitted each year, are contested in court.
