Our drone discovery workshop for schools are perfect for all age groups, from primary all the way up to university.
The goal of this workshop is to introduce students to drones and the reality of how they operate and how they will become an integral part of their future in a modern society.
There are two main talks that we offer:
1. Educational talk, this is catered more to a brief talk, typically not going past 30mins, we'll often see this more in school assemblies. This covers a brief overview of what a drone is, what they can do & are used for, the do's and don'ts to stay safe flying, a brief dive into the law to ensure safe flying, and what we use drones for commercially. This service is free as long as we can (where appropriate) promote our business services to the audience at the end.
2. Drone workshop. This is better catered to a lesson replacement, afterschool club, college interactive day, or university lecture. This focuses on a more in-depth, interactive talk, showcasing actual physical drones, the history of them, their present uses, future uses and industry pathways. We'll dive into drone manufacturing and capabilities, laws and legislations (where appropriate to the audience), and can optionally showcase a drone by actually turning it on & flying, both outdoors and indoors with our omnidirectional collision avoidance sensors and liability insurance included. This service is free for a single lesson slot, or open day if we're allowed to promote our business where appropriate. Otherwise we charge a day rate of £150 per day which can be perfect if you intend on having a school fair or interactive day.
The drone discovery workshop is a perfect way to teach kids about drones, or introduce young adults into the industry in an informed and safe way to ensure law and industry knowledge.
The goal with our business talk & workshop is not too dissimilar to our school talks, however here we focus on a much more in-depth deep dive into the industry and the laws surrounding it.
The goal of these workshops are to introduce businesses and employees to drones, so that they know how to deal with them on the receiving end, and/or what they can provide them on the practical end.
There are two main talks that we offer:
1. What to do when encountering a drone. With drones becoming ever more popular and the laws constantly changing and being confusing, it can be very hard to actually know and understand what it is that you're supposed to do, or are even legally allowed to do, when encountering a drone at your workplace. This first talk goes into the UK laws and legislations to clearly educate your company and/or employees on what their legal rights are, and the procedures in how to act/react to a drone nuisance. This is very important for those who might be exposed to so called 'auditors' on YouTube or those owning publicly accessible land and tourists. This is charged at a fixed rate of £200 per day, and can run multiple classes over a full working day, we also offer discounted rates for multiple days booked in a row for larger businesses.
2. Drone workshop. This is exceptionally useful if you're thinking about adding drones to your business, or you already have. There are two avenues to this talk, the first being a fun interactive talk showcasing what drones are capable of in business environment, and where possible, showcasing these capabilities. This can be great if you're looking to add drones to your 'toolbox'. The second avenue is for those who have already added drones to their toolbox but need to better understand the laws, legislations, the health and safety and working practices around drones. This can be exceptionally useful for those companies who are new to drones but want to use them. Both these services are charged at a standard day rate of £200, however if a paid service stems from one of these bookings, then a discount will be applied.
